I installed as per directions (I have done this before). First light failed (i.e., "burnt out" low-beam) by Thanksgiving. Thought it might be a fluke that evaded QA. Lo and behold the second did exactly the same on 18 December. That's 3.5 months on one and 4.5 months on the other (being generous). The much vaunted extra brightness, downroad, and side road performance was nominal at best. Save your money and go with standard bulbs unless you drive through nature preserves at night at high speeds.
